- It is good to be doing your planning before, and not during, the event that you are planning for
- Communication is key
- If you are attempting to communicate with someone and that person is not answering…but you know that they are in a crisis, cut them some slack (unless, of course, you are up against time as well)
- Do not schedule too many meetings, people actually need time to get things done
