- If you are inviting people and most are not coming, then you really have to work to get the few that said they were coming to actually show up
- Start playing poker earlier than 11:30pm on New Year’s Eve
- Skip the idiotic pre-New Year’s shows and just watch the countdown
- Take it easy and spend time with your friends at a nice warm home
