- Do NOT root for a team that is extremely erratic (see UCLA) First they make you pissed because they lose the first two out of three games and their coach gets fired. And then they beat the number eighth ranked team in the country, getting your hopes up and then lose to the next to last team (not anymore) in the Pac-10. What a pain?!?!
- Start your financial aid form AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. Yes, they become a real pain in the *beep*, especially if you live in China, where you get the forms on Jan. 30 and the due date is Feb. 1.
- If your friend tells you that he’ll plan the John Muir trail and he is in high school doing fifty things at the same time…he may be stupidly insane. Don’t trust him (or her for political correctness sake).
- Doing music composition requires time!!!! Do not rush it and don’t try to read Faulkner’s The Sound and the Fury and compose at the same time. You won’t know what you are writing.
